Cocktail of the Week: The Cabane à sucre

August 18, 2014 @ 7:07pm by Nana

Isaac Viner knows a thing or two about cocktails. As a seasoned veteran of Toronto’s craft cocktail scene, Isaac moved back to his hometown of Ottawa and became the Executive Bar Manager at Fresco’s guest room. Each week you can find Isaac at Fresco’s guestroom slinging his barrel aged Negroni’s and all kinds of other creative drinks to keep you tipsy and talking. This week on antidote features Isaac’s Cabane à sucre. A cocktail made with Ungava Gin from Northern Quebec, Sortilege Maple flavoured Whiskey, Oak Aged Vanilla Syrup, eggwhites, grapefruit, and real maple for the garnish. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sours you may ever have, especially when the hint of maple hits your lips. and I highly recommend trying this out. Enjoy the video, and either visit Isaac at Fresco’s guest room or try your hand at it yourself. I recommend the former because he’s just that good.
