I always find myself heavily influenced by fashions of the past. As of late, it has been that of the 80s and 90s so it is no surprise that I have been routinely watching the decades classics like Flashdance, The Breakfast Club and Clueless. And who could resist the sexually emancipated styles of the 1980s Madonna, baring fishnet stockings, massive hair bows, negligé and fingerless gloves to a chorus of “Like a Virgin”.
I’m pleased to welcome back the one & only Peaches to the music scene with her fly-as-f@$k new song “Burst!” Produced by Boys Noize, who have fabricated some of the most outrageous and catchy dance beats of the past few years, Peaches embraces her inner dance-diva, but never compromising her crazy punk girl routes.
Check out Sky Ferreira’s latest promo for “Everything is Embarrassing,” a sexy clip of the gorgeous singer/model posing and singing around the city in her grunge-meets-madonna style. The song was written by Ariel Rechtshaid and Blood Orange‘s Dev Hynes, so naturally it’s dreamy and dark. Expect more of the same from her upcoming Ghost EP, out October 16th.
