ecoming a bartender in North America isn’t seen as a legitimate career for many. It’s a job you get into while trying to make money for school, or you might become a bartender so you can meet more girls (or whatever floats your boat). For me, it wasn’t quite either of those things, I got involved because I was intrigued.
artenders aren’t yet celebrities in the same sense as Chefs, but if you’ve been paying attention to cocktail culture over the past few years, there are a few names you’ll continue to hear. As the craft of bartending has continued to rise since the late 90s, the new revival can be traced to the teachings of one man, Mr Dale DeGroff.
