July truly is the best time of year to be in the city of Ottawa. Not only is patio season in full swing, but July also signals the arrival of some of the greatest events Ottawa has to offer. Ottawa’s Bluesfest is in North America’s top 10 festivals and happens to feature some of the best and most talented artists you can think of.

It’s become a yearly ritual for me. All roads in early August will lead to Montreal’s Parc Jean Drapeau for a year’s worth of auditory jubilation, delectable eating and feverish festival fun.
